Why Artkashic

I believe art is where technology and emotions converge. My background includes quantum computing at IBM Research Lab in New York and now pushing AI boundaries at NVIDIA. As an analog photographer, I understand the visual arts, and how this enhalces with the technological singularity to redefine what's possible. Artkashic is my artistic exploration, where technology meets art to elevate each other in ways once unimaginable.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • 1. Why this is art and the current artistic revolution that will mark the history?
Art and science have always evolved together, each fueling the other. When Isaac Newton published his work on optics, it didn’t just change physics; it sparked artistic debates. Goethe, the poet, developed his own color theory in response, influencing the creation of the Romanticism.

Similarly, Albert Einstein’s theory of relativity reshaped our understanding of time and space, just as Picasso and Braque were doing in art with Cubism, deconstructing and reimagining space.

Now, we’re at the edge of another revolution. Artificial intelligence is the new frontier, blending art and science in unprecedented ways. Just as before, those who embrace this fusion will lead the next wave of artistic innovation.
  • 2. Is this the end of professional photography? How will photographers make a living in this new reality?
No. Who feeds AI? The photographer. The essence of professional photography remains unique. AI requires carefully curated visual inputs, and it is the photographer who determines what that input should be. This involves not only selecting the model but also capturing the environment, textures, gestures, and nuances that only a trained eye can perceive.

This mastery over the details distinguishes art from amateur work. Anyone can shoot a video on their smartphone, yet only a director like Christopher Nolan can capture the details that elevate image capture to the art of cinema. Photography isn't facing extinction, it’s evolving!
  • 3. What could be the role of model agencies in this new revolution? Are they at risk?
Model agencies are far from being at risk. In fact, this offers them incredible opportunities. They play a key role in managing and safeguarding their models' identities. They can control how AI-generated images are created and used, ensuring that each model's unique presence is maintained.

This shift also opens doors for smaller agencies to grow rapidly, potentially reaching the level of established industry giants. With AI, their capacity to produce and license model images expands exponentially, allowing them to compete on a much larger scale.
  • 4. Are models at risk of being replaced by digital creations? Will AI make real models obsolete?
Models are not at risk of being replaced by digital creations. While AI can create impressive images, what truly resonates with people is the authenticity and story behind a real person in the image, something that connects on a human level. This new digital era actually offers incredible opportunities for models, especially those who are just starting out or have fewer resources. With AI, they can create personalized and realistic portfolios based on real photos, overcoming barriers that once limited their access to high-quality imagery. Additionally, models now have the ability to license their digital likenesses directly, even securing their ownership through blockchain signatures.
  • 5. What does this new digital revolution mean for fashion designers? Are they at risk of losing their creative control?
Fashion designers are not at risk. Quite the opposite! They have more tools than ever to enhance their creativity. This digital revolution allows designers to visualize and refine their concepts on real models with unprecedented precision.

By using AI, they can prototype and experiment with their designs more efficiently, pushing creative boundaries while maintaining full control over their artistic vision.

Additionally, we are committed to working closely with emerging design talents, helping them adapt to these technologies so they can rapidly ascend to global recognition. This is a unique opportunity for designers to innovate and bring their ideas to life in ways that were previously impossible.
  • 6. Are Fashion Weeks at risk of becoming obsolete in the age of AI and digital innovation?
Fashion Weeks are not at risk; they’re actually set to benefit from AI and digital technologies. These tools allow organizers to create realistic previews for sponsors, streamline planning, and enhance global promotion.

Even smaller Fashion Weeks now have the opportunity to gain visibility in the global fashion ecosystem, reaching broader audiences and showcasing their unique artistic vision. Far from being obsolete, Fashion Weeks are evolving to become even more impactful.
